Ariana Madix and her partner Daniel Wai are bringing their love to The City by the Bay.
Wai traveled to San Francisco with Madix and her Vanderpump Rules co-stars who were filming the soon-to-be-released eleventh season of the Bravo series. Scheana Shay uploaded a video of the couple enjoying a ride on the city’s famous cable cars.
Wai, a fitness instructor and influencer, reposted the video with the caption “Riding around SF” added.
Katie Maloney also shared a selfie with the duo, in which they are shown holding hands while exploring San Francisco’s Chinatown.
Madix’s ex-boyfriend Tom Sandoval also joined him on the trip to Northern California. He posted multiple photos and videos of himself enjoying a glass of wine and admiring the famous landmarks of San Francisco from a boat, including the Golden Gate Bridge.

For Madix and Wai, the trip is their latest adventure together after visiting “The Bean,” a massive reflective metal art work in Millennium Park, last month, one of Chicago’s most popular attractions for tourists.
“Beans beans the musical fruit 🫘,” Madix playfully joked about the art piece in her Instagram caption.

The pair initially became romantically involved in April, when they were noticed sharing a kiss and holding hands during the Coachella Music and Arts Festival in California. It had been a little more than a month since Madix discovered her longtime boyfriend Tom Sandoval’s months-long secret with her best friend and VPR co-star Raquel Leviss. Madix and Wai allegedly met in March during a mutual friend’s wedding in Mexico.
An insider informed PEOPLE about the couple’s PDA-filled Coachella adventure. Madix didn’t want to jump into anything “serious,” preferring to “have fun” with Wai. However, just one month later, a source told PEOPLE that things between the two were getting serious.
“Ariana’s been telling people in her circle that she’s falling in love with him,” the source stated. “They met in Mexico at a mutual friend’s wedding, shortly after Scandoval broke. At first, it looked like just a light rebound fling, but they have a special bond. Even though he lives in New York City, they’ve been able to make it work.”
“It’s happening faster than she thought but he treats her well, they’re having fun, and she’s happy to be moving on to this next chapter with such an incredible guy,” added the source.
To celebrate Madix’s birthday in June, Wai took her on a romantic “date night” to the Orchard Quarter candlelight concert. He also wished her a happy birthday on Instagram, captioning, “Happy birthday to the kindest and most generous woman I know @arianamadix.”
Though Madix is keeping the intricacies of her romance with Wai mainly hidden, she did give a glimpse into their relationship during an appearance on Today in May.
“You know, I’m enjoying myself and I would say I’m very happy right now,” she revealed to host Hoda Kotb.
She additionally disclosed how she met Wai just days following her breakup with Sandoval. “I met him at a wedding about 10 days after all of this,” Madix recalled. “And in no way shape or form did I go into that thinking anything, and I’ve just been taking things very, very slow and really enjoying myself.”
Regarding Wai, she added, “It’s just really lovely to interact with someone who is so nice and kind and caring.”
